Introduction to RCP program

• Reverside is introducing RCP program to control and measure the quality of our professionals who are engaged with the clients in many critical assignments.
• This will give us a view into the depth of the knowledge the people have acquired.
• It will help us structure compensation packages and will also help us in building hierarchies for organizational growth.
• We are introducing a color coded belt system like in Japanese Karate to help us take cognizance of a person’s abilities in a particular technology area.

Significance of Yellow Belt

• As in Karate, this is an entry level identifier.
• A person with a RCP Yellow belt will be understood to have his fundamentals right in a given technology area.
• Ideally a person with up to 2 years of experience in the industry will be expected to hold this level of expertise.
• The person will be understood to have good coding abilities with limited design capability.

Significance of Green Belt

• This level is one level up on Yellow belt.
• A person with green belt will be understood to have design ability and also knowledge spread across a few products (open source or proprietary).
• Ideally a person with up to 4 years of experience in the industry will be expected to hold this level of expertise.
• A person with green belt can be in a team leader position with abilities to mentor/manage his technical team.

Significance of Brown Belt

• This level is one level up on Green belt.
• A person with brown belt will be understood to have architectural ability and capable of providing end to end solution cutting across any specific technology domain.
• Ideally a person with above 6 years of experience in the industry will be expected to hold this level of expertise.
• A person with brown belt can be a solution architect or senior consultant.

Significance of Black Belt

• This level is the highest in the belt hierarchy.
• A person with black belt will be understood to have qualities that can be trusted or banked by the clients.  A person who can act as an advisor to the client on many things not only technology.
• Ideally a person with above 10 years of experience in the industry will be expected to hold this level of expertise.
• A person with black belt can be a relationship manager for many different clients.
